And then there are those who take it to another level.
One leader I worked with empowered by signing every email with just 3 simple words:
“You’ve got this.”
At first, it seemed like a small gesture—a casual sign-off. But over time, I realized it was a powerful way to lead.
Leadership isn’t about managing every detail or solving every problem.
It’s about trusting people to rise to the occasion.
It’s about believing in their potential, even when they’re unsure.
Those three words spoke volumes without needing to say much more:
I trust you. I believe in you. And I’m here to support, not control.
Sometimes, the best way to lead isn’t by jumping in to fix things.
It’s by stepping back and simply saying:
“You’ve got this.”
Because when people feel trusted, they feel empowered to grow.
